Ed Garrett
Managing Director & Founder
Having worked in the creative industries for over 15 years, and in business development and recruitment roles for nearly 10, Ed brings a unique blend of creativity and commercial expertise to The Discourse.
Ed founded the agency (formerly Garrett Creative) in 2017 and continues to run the business – leading on strategy, growth and design effectiveness. His work prior to the agency in electronic music has given him a breadth of creative and marketing knowledge.
Isabella Cheung
Creative Director & Co-Founder
The driving force behind our creative team, Issy continues to take our agency and the organisations we work with to new heights through her love of visual communication and branding.
A coveted D&AD New Blood Award winner, Issy has worked with brands across the UK and Asia. She specialises in brand strategy, research, design and activation, and brings a level of expertise and drive to the team that continues to be invaluable.

Justine Viot
Website & UX Designer
Born in France, Justine graduated in UX/UI Strategy & Design at L’école de Design Nantes Atlantique. She joined The Discourse in the summer of 2021, from day one she has elevated our web design offering and built upon our user-led approach to design.
Miya Heap
Marketing & Analytics
Arriving at The Discourse in summer 2023, Miya has split her time between the agency and her studies at University in Sydney. Specialising in content writing, campaigns and data, the natural marketer in her has been thriving in both theory and practice.
Beatriz Leonardo
Illustrator & Animator
Currently residing in Lisbon, Portugal, Beatriz’s speciality is bringing together her varied skills and blending areas of creativity, whether that’s mixing analogue and digital design, music and visual art, or small and large-scale prints.
Ben Menter
Graphic Designer
A lifelong Bristolian, Ben is one of our most senior designers. Specialising in graphic design, print management and large format, he comes to us with years of experience designing for businesses, record labels and the 3rd sector.
Mahalia Curtis
Copywriter
Mahalia works tirelessly on brand voice and content writing for our clients. She’s an incredible copywriter on the page and in a campaign, and draws on her own experience in art history to bring the right balance of creative and commercial content.
Elvien Daru
Brand Designer
One of the most talented brand designers we’ve met, she brings a signature style of beautifully drawn, colourful and modern designs to the agency. Her focus is on branding and logo design, and her unique approach is an instrumental part of our work.
